Hostel Mondpalast

Eine tolle Atmosphäre. Alle waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alles hat super geklappt. Die Zimmer waren geräumig der Zugang war sehr einfach und sicher. Die Umgebung war sehr lebendig und es gibt viel Unternehmungen. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank dafür.

Great overall stay,The staff were awesome, and the place was super clean throughout. Just a heads up that it is in a really lively area, so it can get pretty busy and a bit noisy on the weekends, but that is to be expected for the location. Nothing really to complain about

Nice, clean, friendly! Not so close to the train station or the city center, but the area is really nice! Thank you to all the people i met during my little escape!

We had a great stay! The area is really cool, it was a bit loud at night and the room got pretty warm but the open windows helped. Would stay here again!

If you want to come visit Dresden and get even more than what you paid for, this is the place. I had the best hotel experience here, staffs are so friendly and helpful. Facilities are just functional and clean. The community is just soo nice. Definitely would recommend for anyone who would like to come.

Great hostel for the value. Stayed in the female dorm: everything clean and very cute! Loved the vibes with dragons and fairytale-like paintings on the walls. The main area also looked very nice, but could t spend time there. The neighborhood is very cute and artsy: a lot of international food and street art.

Great place, if I had more time in Dresden I could easily have spent a few days here, highly recommend for Dresden.

It was a nice hostel, with kind people and free coffee. In the night it was not loud.

Prettige, gemoedelijke sfeer. Rustige bewoners op de kamer. Goed uitgeruste hostel, inclusief keuken. Behulpzaam personeel.

This is a great hostel and I loved my stay here! Really cool and alt neighborhood with so many cute shops and cafes! Cleaner than some hotels I've been in. The staff was super friendly too. Would definitely come back!!

It was a good hostel, a lot of bathrooms and showers which was nice. Beds don’t have curtains and the people who stayed there were older than me, so I can’t say it’s a social hostel. The locations is great and the vibe is nice

Schönes Hostel!

It's a long walk from the main railway station. I wish I'd used Dresden Neustadt station which is much closer. Staff were very friendly. My private room was clean and pleasantly decorated. Can't really comment on the atmosphere as I was unwell during my stay and spent most of the time in my room, but it seemed ok. The free coffee all day was nice.

Decent stay. They have the barebones, social events exist too. I would recommend.

the room was freezing and the kitchen was sparse but the rest was great, staff were so lovely and helped with recommendations for food, would recommend the hostel

Great hostel in the absolute best part of Dresden. There was a really cool vibe, especially with the bar and common area with free tea/coffee, that seemed an integrated part of the city. On the night we stayed, there was lots of locals there as well, and a really great atmosphere beyond the usual 'hostel-vibe'. The rooms were decent and clean, and there was plenty of bathrooms. Will definitely return of I'm ever in Dresden again.

My stay was comfortable and I enjoyed the location. It’s a little far from the old town center (30min walk) but right in the heart of the local life. Great options for food close by without being caught in an expensive tourist trap. Breakfast at hostel was a little expensive (€12), but there are lots of good options close by for cheaper. Kitchen was cute, and had the basics for what you would need. Atmosphere was a little lacking the first couple days, but got better later on. Would recommend.

Although I only stayed for a night, the staff at mondpalast were honestly so kind and helpful it was lovely I felt very welcome and the atmosphere on the night I arrived was good too they had their quiz night on and people in the bar were getting involved. Despite the staff having to deal with a difficult guest they dealt with him politely, swiftly and professionally and were relaxed and caring towards the rest of the guests 10/10 to staff, I’d definitely come back but hopefully for longer next.

I know I was there in a down time so ambiance was obviously not great but still was amazing. You want clean? That’s the place, no questions asked. Places to visit are a little walk away or quick tram ride but the views are definitely worth it. Will definitely go back if make another trip to Germany and pass through Dresden.

Great place in an amazing location in a beautiful city

Cool bar downstairs - that is also Open to the public which negates some of the hostel atmosphere a bit. Breakfast is available for a fee (kinda expensive — €12), breads and cereal, pretty basic. Beds clean, already made. Big lockers. Clientele kinda strange - one of the dudes in my room invited his girlfriend in multiple times — hostels should have a no outsides policy..? Especially in the rooms. Showers okay, private enough. Great location, in the funky Neustadt. 20 min walk to old town.

The experience was good but the only thing I would suggest is that you pleaseee keep the heaters on for a longer time. Unfortunately, it was very cold most of the time because turning them on only a few times a day was definitely not enough 🫠.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hostel! Recommended if you want a place to stay at Dresden.

Solo friendly even in mixed droms as well people and staff are nice and even safe to travel to hotel from tram station verified till 21:00.

Felt very safe as a solo female knowing there’s 24/7 reception and that the hostel’s in a lively area. Good location for those who enjoy “alternative” districts and living a little further away (~20min door-to-door from hostel to Zwinger) from touristy areas. Bedrooms were clean and everything functioned. Floor 1 shower sinks seemed to have some mould issues but generally clean; some WCs had some ventilation issues. Staff’s very friendly and helpful. Would recommend if in Dresden for a few days!

had such an amazing time staying at mondpalast! the staff is super cool and always ready to help or just have a nice chat. also shoutout to the german girl who’s volunteering there, she’s lovely! love the free tea and coffee and how clean and comfortable everything is and having a bar on sight is so handy to get the night started! will definitely be back, specially in the summer when there’s more travelers and more people to socialize with!

I would say the best hostel I have been to, really clean, kitchen spacious and great atmosphere

Lovely staff, great vibes in the common area (there was a pub quiz on the day we arrived, and a list of all shows and concerts in the area pinned to the wall). Made me want to stay longer in the city - there were so many ideas for traveling in the area available. The room felt safe, and the facilities were clean and tidy.

Super clean hostel. A bit far from the main sights, but fair for the price. Great restaurants and bars nearby.
