One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at.

Abbiamo alloggiato per 5 giorni in una capsula king size in due...semplicemente perfetta per qualità-prezzo. Camerata, bagni, spazi comuni tutto pulitissimo, personale simpatico, gentile e alla mano. L'unico timore è che la cabina potesse risultare claustrofobica, in realtà si sta perfettamente in due persone, ventilata e comodissima. Consiglio il posto, non solo per il prezzo super competitivo, ma anche per le vibes che si creano negli spazi comuni con gli altri ospiti e con il personale...5 st

Hele goede locatie! De sfeer was niet heel gezellig en voorral wat oudere gasten. Het hostel organiseerde zelf ook verder niks aan activiteiten. De badkamer op onze kamer rook heel erg vies, we hebben het wel aangegeven, maar er is niks veranderd. Wel echt een prima keuken, veel eetplekken en een goede lounge beneden. Gratis koffie en thee was ook fijn!

The room was okay, we stayed in a shared room not a pod, but the toilet and the shared facilities were very dirty. In the kitchen there were barely no utensils and only a couple of sets of cutterly, absolutely not enough for everyone using the kitchen. Overall, can stay there for a few nights, not the best spot because it's dirty tho.

I slept in the capsule. For the usage I did of it, it felt like a hotel room. I was only there for sleeping but enjoying the privacy of your own room at a hostel price was amazing. Not the cleanest bathrooms honestly, but there's plenty of them at least, never had to wait. Did not use the kitchen or the breakfast, but free coffee and tea are a nice touch.

Coffe and tea available 24/7 is the best. Location is also great and felt safe. 3/4 of the staff is mean but there’s a girl from Spain that will always be happy to help you. She’s the best. Put your important belongings or everything in the lockers, they try to take mine but got them back. Capsules are quite comfy and I LOVE them. You sleep amazing. I would come back!

All in all this an amazing Hostel and I would always recommend it to everyone how is traveling to Berlin!! I you have the opportunity please make sure that in room 409: - to remove the gray in the shower - entrance cards are working well while opening the dormitory door Despite everything is great!

Det var et rigtig hyggeligt sted og jeg var glad for at bo der, men jeg synes simpelthen det var for ulækkert at der var skimmelsvamp ude på toiletterne. Jeg er en person som lider af astma og derfor hjalp det ikke meget at der er var skimmelsvamp

küche mini und sau dreckig, in den duschen steht immer das wasser, klo war zwei tage lang angeschissen, wurde ned gereinigt

Had no issues at all. It was a little bit hot in the pods but overall it was fine.

Ottimo ostello "d'emergenza". Abbiamo dormito nelle capsule che si sono rivelate comode, spaziose, pulite e abbastanza fresche. Personale simpatico e disponibile. Posizione ottima a due passi dalla metropolitana e in un quartiere molto vivo e ricco di bar. Checkin e checkout comodi e veloci. La camera disponeva anfhe di due bagni, armadietti e un bel balcone. Consiglio vivamente come sistemazione temporanea.

The staff is very nice and the capsules are so comfortable 🤩 The kitchen, however, is in such a state that you simply can't cook there. Hold the guests accountable! Despite everything, it's the best place to stay 🫶🏼 Tutuille terkut!

Location is good and the staff is overall very very very nice ! They are very friendly and understanding. HOWEVER... I wouldn't recommend this place at all. It's so dirty. The kitchen was gross, just like the bedrooms. The bathrooms and toilets were acceptable but not very clean...

We had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The location is excellent, with easy access to public transportation and all the main attractions. We always felt safe, both inside the hostel and in the surrounding area. The price was very reasonable for the quality and service provided. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with any questions we had. The rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a great.

Really good price/quality, the beds are spacious and comfortable and also locked behind a security code and that's really good. Also the personal is really friendly.

Nice place in Berlin can think come back

The capsule is amazing, but do not buy the kingsized (no ac like the private one - so just take that one, it can fit two people).

I was only there for a night and it was good. Pod was comfortable. The showers had a curtain where you shower and then an open room but it was fine.

Great capsule stay at Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin! The futuristic pod gave me way more privacy than a normal bunk bed, plus my own light and outlets. The quirky theme is fun, and the vibe at the bar makes it easy to meet people. The central location is walkable to Museum Island and public transit. Staff were super friendly, and everything was clean. It can get slightly warm inside the pod, but it's a perfect budget solo stay.

very clean, comfortable beds and not to expensive

The pods are great! You get privacy and your own ventilation. Our single pods were double beds too. Great value. There is a small kitchen abd the plenty of bathrooms and social space. Breakfast is not free. However, the staff were all so rude - acting like they hated the huests. if it werebt for that, the atmosphere wpuld have been much improved. Two of them couldnt sort a booking for me so i had to go to reception three times to add a night!

Good place to stay

Het was best wel vies en ze zeggen dat ze een keuken hebben, maar tegelijkertijd hebben ze echt niks voor in de keuken. Vaak was er helemaal geen bestel, kommetjes of borden, waardoor het lastig was om voor jezelf te koken. Daarnaast was het persooneel niet echt verwelkomend en is het hostel heel massaal, waarbij mensen niet echt met elkaar praten. Dus voor solo travailers is het niet echt een goed hostel. Daarnaast is het ook in de badkamers best wel vies

Viel zu heiss in der Kapsel, aber es war schon gut, so privat schlafen zu können. Das Interieur machte mich ein Bisschen depressive. Es war kein gutes Hostel zum Kennenlernen anderer Menschen.

I had a very bad experience with them. They though that all the room check out, so they broke my lock, they 'clean' my bad with my flip top and Uniqlo hoodie , that wasn't found. I spent their 7 night, I think that they have to pay for it!!!

Its for budget but you are gonna die because it's too hot in capsule

It was a nice capsule but when we booked it on the website it said it was a double private room. We only found out that it was a capsule when we arrived.

The staff were rude when we first got there and looking at us like aliens when we asked a question and the pod rooms looked nothing like the pictures as they were completely different pods, the bathrooms never looked like they have been cleaned and smelt so bad all the time. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

This hostel has a great feel about it. The reception staff aren't always in the best mood (the night staff are friendlier) but the hostel is well-kept, clean and the pods were great. I stayed for 5 nights in a pod during summers wheb days reached 30 and nights were cold and I loved the pods. Very secure, small usb fans inside, a light and a double bed--so it was plenty of space for a solo male traveller. The pods only have USBC and USB charging ports inside FYI. Overall really good.

I loved my stay here in a four bed style mixed room and felt very safe. In room luggage storage and free coffee at the reception. There was a €20 deposit that you get back on return. The only downside is the extremely squeaky top bunk and the shower having a shower curtain and not a lockable door. To shower you can lock the main bathroom door locking off the sink, toilet and shower but as there is so few bathrooms someone may be waiting for u to be done. And breakfast is €10 if you wanted it.

the staff were brilliant, BUT I stayed in a pod, I have stayed in other pods before with no issues but this one had no airflow and was unbelievably hot, I woke up covered in sweat and had to leave the door open (it wasn’t hot weather) because of this, someone tried to get into my pod at 5am, I was scared and had to close the door. Also as a frequent traveler the guests didn’t have hostel etiquette, they slammed doors, shouted all times of night like it was their own personal hotel room.

check in timing is pathetic, if someone comes tired don't go they won't let you check-in before 2pm although there is no check-in timing mentioned at time of booking.

I stayed in a pod and it was clean. The locker outside was big enough to fit my 55liter backpack. There was whatsoever NO air flowing in to the pod so I had to sleep with the door open = felt kinda unsafe since there was a rather weird clientele at the hostel. Lots of men of the more creepy type. And they were loud all night. Kitchen was ok, dishes not clean tho. The showers didn’t really have any privacy besides shower curtains, and a man came in there (to the ladies) when i was changing.

Convenient location. However, there is no air conditioning at the hostel (which was miserable at the tail end of the heat wave), and the "pods" have rather poor ventilation, only a tiny fan in the corner facing up that does not help cool them. I often slept with the door open.

fantastic hostel!! front desk staff was very nice and helped fix an issue that occurred with booking. my dorm also had a very nice balcony with a good view.

The bathrooms were a bit dirty, the beds were extremely squeaky it was awful. When you arrive you have to make your own bed. There’s no AC which is a nightmare in summer.

Had no handsoap in our bathroom, but free tea and coffee and great shared showers, and a big garden smoking area from the kitchen. Also close to a big supermarket

The bathroom to guest ratio is terrible, this meant the toilets stank and were disgusting 90% of the time. staff were pleasant at best but wouldn’t go out of their way to help you. ridiculous having to pay €20 deposit for key cards and bed linens. wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Mein Flug wurde gestrichen, weshalb ich einen Tag später anreisen musste. Ich habe die Unterkunft rechtzeitig telefonisch darüber informiert. Als ich ankam, wurde mir jedoch mitgeteilt, dass mein bereits bezahltes Bett weitergegeben wurde und ich mir eine neue Unterkunft suchen müsse. Ich finde es unverständlich, dass ein bezahlter Schlafplatz trotz vorheriger Benachrichtigung einfach vergeben wird. Statt einer Lösung wurde ich vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt. Sehr unprofessionell.

great spot this. Very well situated, has a goood atmosphere, also for a 70+ ! Love those capsules, helps me calm down so well. My advice: Install fans even in the older, small ones. So we can also COOL down there. Staff aeays so kind &helpful.

Very warm

The hostel was unbelievably hot and uncomfortable. You get what you pay for kind of situation. The staff were really nice. Not social at all. No air conditioning or ventilation at all in the pods.
