Sunflower Hostel

Staff were friendly and nice to speak with. However, the hostel is mainly used by people going to clubs so expect significant noise and crashing around from other guests early in the morning. If you want to sleep at night time this is probably not the hostel for you. Bed was comfy but the pillow is appalling. We have an en-suite shower which was powerful, the communal toilet was ok but could do with a more regular clean. Whilst accessible to the train station, I would not stay here again.

Ich bin es nicht gewohnt mit so vielen Geräuschen und so vielen Menschen in einem Raum zu schlafen. Auf dem Fluchtplan im Zimmer 301 wurden die Zimmernummern vertauscht, bitte korrigieren.

Not good I don’t recommend at all, luckily a change of plans meant I had to check out early. Place stank, not enough bathrooms, very loud. Only decent thing is that it’s near a train station so it was easy to get to from the airport as I arrived late at night. Also the pillow isn’t a normal sized pillow, it’s very small and flat, it’s terrible and hurt my neck.

We had a good time at the Sunflower Hostel but the main takeaway is that this is a hostel used by people going to the local clubs which results in people being very loud as they return in the early hours. The showers are borderline communal with only a translucent screen between you and everyone with very little private space, if you are in a shared room you will have to be getting changed in front of people! The staff were very friendly and the bar downstairs had cheap beerand a good atmosphere

10/10 stay. I had such a great time at Sunflower, the vibes were amazing and it was very easy to socialize. I had a double capsule and it was very comfortable, the facilities were good as well. The hostel is very well located. I can only recommend this place !

Amazing spot. Bar is lovely and chill, everyone is always mingling! Beds are comfy and clean, bathrooms are modern and spotless. Kitchen access granted on request. Could not recommend it higher!

The beds in the room where I stayed in where SO loud. I couldn‘t move all night because if I did, the whole room would’ve been awake. They’re wooden bunk beds and I still can’t get over the amount noise of them. The staff was nice, with some of them you could sit outside in the evening and have a nice chat. You can lock your luggage in a locker for 2€ before check in and in your room too but for free (don’t forget your own lock) The bar is open till the morning and the common area was okay.

I stayed at this hostel for two nights and had a very positive experience. It’s an excellent place if you’re looking for a calm and secure environment to rest. The atmosphere felt safe at all times, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. The location is one of the biggest advantages — it’s right in the middle of the city, literally within walking distance of everything you might need, including shops, restaurants, and public transport. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. They speak both German and very good English, which made communication easy and comfortable. The rooms and capsules are well-designed and secure. I felt confident leaving my belongings there without worry. Everything was clean and well-organized, which added to the overall comfort of my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a safe, central, and comfortable place to stay

First since i was inside the staffs were been racists,ignorant and disrespectful. The first nights stay with the quacking sound from the bed resulted in the bed on the top broken and fallen down. I could not move or sleep in the bed.

Great hostel! Nice facilities and super safe security wise. Decent opportunities for socialising and super close to the ALDI too. The surrounding area is very hippie alternative culture and great young demographic, it’s a bit far from the centre of the city but the walk is pretty decent!

My friend and I stayed 7 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly, the beers were very reasonably priced, and the hostel is in one of the best locations. Very close walk to East Side Gallery, Holzmarkt 25, tons of great restaurants, bars, and clubs. My only complaint is that our room was not well ventilated! I have a very sensitive respiratory system and every night when we came back, I would quickly become very congested. It’s possible I was allergic to something, who knows!

Good hostel, but harder as a solo traveller to meet people but still doable with a bit of luck. Great location for clubbing and easy access via S and U bahn to many places. Would stay again but maybe with some mates.

This is a cool hostel to stay in, if you are looking fir chill and social vibes! The location is awesome. My bed was comfy and the room was clean. Breakfast was also affordable and good. Only downside were the bathrooms - there aren’t quite enough showers and toilets for the amount of people, but wasn’t that big of a deal for me. Would recommend this place!

Gemütliches Hostel in bester zentraler Lage mit sympathischen Personal. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich und sauber. Gerne kommen wir bald einmal wieder. :)

It is very easy to meet cool and interesting people in this hostel. The bar is good. The location is very very good if you are interesting in the Berlin club culture. The hostel looks cool and has good beds, showers, and laundry machines.

Capsules are very spacious and convenient for solo travelling. Quite limited bathrooms with a lot of people sharing, meant sometimes they didn’t feel super clean, BUT they were cleaned each day and to a very high standard, which was great!

Worth it 100%

Staff are unfriendly, when we checked in the guy on the desk just shoved a bit of paper at us to sign without even looking up. There are nowhere near enough bathrooms for the amount of people and you often had three or four people waiting for one bathroom. The WiFi doesn’t work anywhere in the building and one of our duvet covers had stains on. Save your money, find somewhere else.

Great hostel with nice guest, very well acoustically isolated and very secure

I feel like the staff sometimes was annoyed and impatient towards me, like they didn't quite enjoy their job. The wifi was very bad except in the lobby/lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped with a refrigerator, dishes and a cooker that you can use. In the evenings I sometimes had to wait for a bathroom to be available but never too long. As for the bedroom, there were lockers stacked upon each other and unfortunately we had the top one which was quite hard to reach (I'm 165 or 5'5)

Wir hatten zu dritt ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, da war alles top. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr gute Lage, v.a. Wenn man Veranstaltungen in der Uber Arena besucht, aber auch nah an S-Bahn und Tram. Die Gemeinschaftsbereiche waren nicht so einladend, zumindest nicht für unseren Geschmack. Aber sonst hat alles gepasst.

The staff was rude. Arrived late and the short brazilian dude was no help and was short in answers too. I went to the hotel around the corner. Theres a creepy tattoo artist that lingers around and tries to prey on drunk girls staying at the hostel. He shouldnt be allowed on the premise since he doesnt live or work there. The girls i spoke to were scared of him because he was persistent and creepy. The pod beds are cool and locking them with a code is convenient. Cool that they have a bar

Overall nice hostel. Location is good especially if you're going to a concert, but has also good transport connections. The beds didn't have curtains but in all-female dorm it was manageable. The rooms were kept clean.

Rooms are clean, common area is ok. short walk to Kreuzberg.

Horrible beds and storage compartments. Sounded like a war zone every night with everyone in the dorm coming back at different times and opening and closing their storage. It rolls under the bed and mine was broken so it was very difficult to get out. Never heard beds creak like that before. Staff were also super annoyed all the time. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Such a cute and clean hostel! They clean the common areas every morning, and the employees were very helpful and attentive.

Für eine Übernachtung am Wochenende vollkommen okay, weil es in der Nähe der Konzertlocation war. Die Personen in meinem Zimmer waren echt nett, aber unten in den Gemeinschaftsräumen ist nicht wirklich die typische Hostelstimmung aufgekommen. Ohne Ohrstöpsel hätte ich außerdem die ganze Nacht die Musik von der Bar gehört, da mein Zimmer direkt darüber lag, darauf sollte man achten. Das Personal war nett und die Gemeinschaftsduschen und WCs sehr sauber. Würde es noch Mal für einen Trip buchen :)

Had an awesome time at this hostel. Bar in the front makes it easy to mingle with everyone as they come in and out from clubbing. Made some great friends here. Ended up only clubbing once and spending other nights in lobby/bar with friends. Staff was great and a few really stuck out with their friendliness. Location is in the heart of clubbing district so know this ahead of time. I got capsule bed which was nice. Bathrooms are nice.

The hostel itself is p good; we booked 4 people dorm with bathroom ensuite; it was quite big and clean. Same for the kitchen; very big and had “free” food from what previous residents had left. The location is the best part, it is only 5 mins away from Berghain and 10 mins from East side gallery. Overall a good place to stay.

They're really nice and helpful. They managed to consistently put me and my friends in the same room even though we booked seperately and were overall an amazing experience.

Amazing hostel. So cheap, lovely staff, super social in bar/rooms, clean bathrooms and good safe storage. Had the best time ever. Really cool neighbourhood in Berlin with lots around and train station super close for city centre. Thank you!!!

Excellent staff and facilities!

Great spot if your main goal is clubbing since everything is close and easy to get to. Rooms are not very cozy, bunk beds rattle a lot and there are no curtains so privacy is limited. Bartenders are amazing, especially Oleg, very friendly and welcoming. Had a negative experience with a staff member who came outside, yelled at us to be quiet, told us to leave, and started removing our chairs instead of handling it calmly. Overall vibe is just okay.

Zeer leuk en fijn hostel. Vooral het bed (205) ligt fantastisch.

Amazing stay! Great location and atmosphere

I felt really unsafe as a woman using the common showers. Anyone could get in while you were showering and there was a boy’s dorm in front of it. Because of the party ambience of the club it’s really difficult to feel trustful of the guests. I highly recommend more ventilation of the reception area, there is a mix of body odour and strange smells that don’t fit right. On another hand, the staff was amazing and the location of the hostel is top notch. However, really really really noisy.

Good vibes to meet peoples from different countries. If you trvale with big lugages, noy recommended, its no elevator and you work very hard to go upstairs. Wifi mostly does not work, close to Supermarks Aldi/ReWe. Lockers availables.

Very nice hostel, I stayed in a pod which was quiet and comfortable, had good sleep there! The social areas are nice. I went at an off peak time I think (early march) so it wasn’t the most social but still managed to find a couple people to go out with. Close to the station and lots of food places.

I had such a wonderful stay!! The staff was absolutely amazing and let me extend 3 extra days with no hesitation. I really appreciate their kindness and flexibility. the drinks were delicious and the room was clean and quiet. My only qualm was i didn’t have good internet in the capsules when the door was closed. Everything else was perfect and will definitely visit again thank you thank you 💘💘💘💘
